A free-spirited woman (Amy Schumer) convinces her reluctant, anxious mother (Goldie Hawn) to join her on the exotic vacation she'd been planning with her boyfriend before they broke up. However, their trip to South America turns into a wild adventure when they escape from an attempted kidnapping.
