Selig Polyscope Company's doe-eyed leading lady Bessie Eyton both wrote and starred in the title-role in this one-reel melodrama. Harold Lockwood, the company's up-and-coming leading man, was featured as Bessie's brother, whom she is constantly protecting from the law. He returns the compliment when Bessie is attacked by a nasty revenue officer (Wheeler Oakman). The wife of Selig director Charles Eyton, Bessie Eyton enjoyed a screen career that lasted until 1925.
