Lana (Kristin Kreuk) has befriended a fellow student named Seth Nelson (Kevin Zegers). Before long, Lana has done a complete personality about-face and becomes a "bad girl" and jailbird. It turns out that Seth possesses magnetic powers which can not only move objects but also alter human emotions. It is up to Clark (Tom Welling) to save Lana from herself -- if she doesn't kill him first, that is. Meanwhile, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) has a showdown with budding journalist Chloe (Allison Mack) over evidence that may or may not incriminate Lex's father, Lionel.
