Synopsis by Janiss Garza
The ambitious Mrs. Leeds (Louise Beaudet) wants her daughter Patricia (Alice Joyce) to marry into wealth, and the man she chooses for her is the moneyed but incredibly self-important Brewster Howard (Percy Marmont). In spite of this rocky beginning, Patricia comes to love her husband. She is not thrilled, however, with Howard's unscrupulous secretary, John Reynolds (Gustav von Seyffertitz). Reynolds, in an attempt to come between the Howards, gets Patricia to run off with him. Patricia is wise to this, but goes anyway in order to bring her husband down a notch or two. She returns to Howard after he has lost his fortune and his overabundant pride.
