Part 1 of 2. Sgt. Jack Driscoll returns to Dublin, Ireland, to take over for his retiring father whose reputation is not exactly synonymous with law and order. Jack's first case is the death of a young Eastern European woman and, during the course of his investigation, long-buried secrets come to light and some of his old man's influential friends are put under the microscope.
