Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Lovely San Francisco-based singer/composer Bash Kennett was the featured attraction in many a Bay Area TV program of the 1950s. One such program debuting in 1958, Sing Hi Sing Lo was a daily, 15-minute potpourri of traditional American folk songs and ballads, with the enthusiastic Kennett doing double duty as singer and guitarist. A filmed version of Sing Hi Sing Lo was placed in syndication the same year of its San Francisco premiere, remaining a prime attraction of the ad hoc National Educational Television network well into the early '60s; in most cities, the program was shown in tandem with another 15-minute NET children's series, The Friendly Giant.
