Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Silver King was adapted from a well-worn stage melodrama by Henry Arthur Jones. Having left home and hearth in disgrace, silver miner Wilfred Denver (Percy Marmont) returns to England years later to extract revenge on those who've betrayed him. The formidable array of villainy facing Denver includes swarthy Captain Skinner (Bernard Nedell) and voluptuous vamp Olive (Chili Bouchier). The pulpish finale finds heroine Nellie (Jean Jay) -- yes, her name is Nellie -- being held prisoner by the heavies in an impenetrable underground tunnel. The British cinema's "quota" system dictated the necessity of such middling films as Silver King.
