Okojo-san is a smarter-than-average ferret. He is kidnapped out of his forest home and sold to a pet store, only to escape, eventually showing up at Siawase Apartments and in the room of a college student named Tsuchitani. Tsuchitani is very shy and quiet, not to mention poor, but he decides to keep Okojo-san, and pretty soon things start changing around their quiet apartment building. Okojo-san meets up with a rat owned by the girl next door and now, with a sidekick and a sharp wit (not to mention claws!), Okojo-san is ready to try his hand (or paw) at any new task that strikes his fancy, even matchmaking.
