One of Nikkatsu's better pinku eiga films of the year, this softcore melodrama from acclaimed director Chusei Sone concerns the different paths taken by three cynical sisters. The first is a prostitute with no goals, the second is a disaffected secretary who hates her position in the discriminatory business world, and the third is a criminal who preys on society. Predating the thematically similar films of Hisayasu Sato, Sone's film is about societal disenfranchisement and the self-destructive, often brutal consequences of alienation. Not for the timid, the film contains a vicious gang rape and other stark episodes from the low road. Keiko Tsuzuki and Akemi Nijo lead the talented cast.
