Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Shell Shock is a title occasionally dusted off for low-budget war pictures. Since the name of the eponymous affliction was coined during World War 2 (they called shell shock "nostalgia" during the Civil War!), most of these films take place during that conflict. This 1989 film is no exception. Four GI's, cut off from their outfit, struggle to stay alive. As the sound of bullets begins taking its toll on the soldiers' psyches, they begin hallucinating about going home.
