Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Geraldine Farrar plays a woman with a past in this domestic melodrama. Her character, Muriel, has become popular in society and she marries a prominent businessman, Judson Barnes (Milton Sills). Years pass, and they have a child. Frank Craftley (Fred Truesdell) approaches Barnes with a shady project, and Muriel advises her husband against getting involved. Craftley's partner, Jack McGoff (Tom Santschi), realizes that Muriel is an Alaskan dance hall girl he once knew. He threatens to expose her secret unless she urges her husband to take up the project. In fear of losing her husband and child, she complies, and Barnes and Craftley leave town to go over particulars. McGoff comes over to visit Muriel and take further advantage of her, but this time he has overplayed his hand. She lays out her jewels, and when McGoff grabs her, she calls for help. A policeman comes and shoots what he assumes to be a common burglar. The film ends with Muriel holding her child. Farrar's career with the Goldwyn studios was less than impressive, and the plot to this film helps explain why.
