Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The British children's game show See It, Saw It was a retooling and updating of the earlier series Jigsaw. Comedian Mark Speight (aka "Scratchy") was cast as a stupid king, surrounded by equally idiotic jesters. As host of the proceedings, the "King" showed the contestants various pictures, film clips, or the like, then asked them questions about what they had just seen. Since there were two possible answers for each question, it was up to the kids in the audience to determine the "better" answer; seated on a huge seesaw-like device, the kids would lean to the left if they liked one answer, or to the right if they preferred the other answer. The first letter of each correct answer was used to build a four-letter word, and whoever built the most words in the shortest time was the winner (or something like that). Former Doctor Who star Sylvester McCoy periodically appeared to enliven the proceedings. Created by Clive and Julia Doig, See It, Saw It was seen over BBC1 beginning in 1998.
