During the Battle of the Atlantic, German U-boats conducted such fierce warfare against the Allied forces that many feared they couldn't be defeated. This programs interviews Sir Harry Hinsley, who played a key role in helping the British Navy review its intelligence strategies. Other featured experts include Roger Sarty, Wesley Wark, David Kahn, and Juergen Rohwer. Background footage was shot in both Cambridge and Bletchley Park, England.
