The dramatic British miniseries Second Chance starred Susannah York and Ralph Bates as Kate and Chris Hurst, a long-married couple. As they approached middle age, Kate and Chris came to the conclusion that they were weary of one another and thus sought out a divorce. Whether or not this drastic move would actually result in a "second chance" for either person was open to debate as the series wended its six-week course. The program was seen over Yorkshire Television in 1981.
