Synopsis by Rovi

Filling the gap left by departing troupe members John Candy and Catherine O'Hara, Rick Moranis, Tony Rosato, and Robin Duke join the SCTV cast as the irreverent Canadian sketch comedy series begins its third season. Station manager Edith Prickley (Andrea Martin) welcomes us back, getting in a gratuitous dig at her long-gone predecessor Moe Green. After a promo for a production of My Fair Lady starring incomprehensible illegal alien Perini Scleroso (Martin again), we get our first glimpse at those beer-guzzling "hosters," Bob and Doug McKenzie (Moranis, Dave Thomas), as they enthuse over their new boots in the premiere installment of the government-dictated segment "Kanadian Korner" (soon to be known as "The Great White North"). Then, "Lee A. Iaoccoca's Rock Concert" finds the auto-executive host (Thomas) sandwiching pleas for extra money and blatant product plugs as he welcomes guest stars Ringo Starr and George Carlin (both Moranis), Slim Whitman (Joe Flaherty), Barbra Streisand (Martin), and Tony Orlando (Rosato) -- not to mention Iaoccoca's own daughter Imogena (Duke).
