A wide-eyed high school kid with stardust dreams finds his budding romance with a pretty classmate scuttled by an alien invasion in this playfully campy musical. Billy Dever is budding scientist with his eyes on the stars. But lately basketball big-shot Brandon Bishop has singled Billy out for humiliation. When spacey Principal Spooky Thompson shows more interest in wacky conspiracy theories than dealing with Brandon the bully, Billy falls back on the friendship of his best pals Eddie and Spuds. Just when it seems as if Billy's life can't get any worse, dance committee member Cara-Ann finally gives him the time of day. Meanwhile, something strange is happening around the school, and together with science teacher Professor Vadin, Billy endeavors to get some answers. Later, at the Sadie Hawkins Day Dance, the entire school comes under attack from aliens, and Billy must fight to save the girl of his dreams.
