Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
In a complicated but decent crime drama from debut director Sebastian Lentz, three Americans rob a bank in a small French village and make off with $1,000,000, though only two escape with their lives. They soon fall out over whether to take the money and run or go back for their mortally wounded companion. The thief who does go back eventually ends up escaping the police and finds solace in the arms of a pretty tour guide -- but he is out one million bucks. As he devises a plan to get back the money, the plot takes several turns that eventually involve his enamored tour guide and a pulp-fiction writer as well as a boat and the locks on a canal.
