Synopsis by Hal Erickson

This 6-reel Universal "spectacular" starred the studio's top male personality J. Warren Kerrigan in the title role. Though he may have worn a bit too much facial makeup to be completely convincing, Kerrigan's impressive physique passed muster as the hirsute Samson, who meets his Waterloo at the hands (and the hair clippers) of the seductive Delilah. The latter role was played by Kerrigan's own sister Kathleen Kerrigan, whom some jaundiced viewers suggested was more suitable for the title role than her brother. Mayme Kelso co-starred as Delilah's ill-fated sister Zorah, while lurking in the background as extras were future film producer Hal Roach and comedy-star-to-be Harold Lloyd. Serving as the film's producer was J. Farrell McDonald, who later went to work for Roach as one of the directors of the Lloyd comedies.
