Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This is standard melodramatic fare, with Peggy Hyland playing Letty, a country minister's daughter who is compromised by Captain Fanshawe (Hal Forde), a city man. Meanwhile, Hoggard (Clarence Handyside), a crooked banker, forces the minister into resigning his post. A young farmer (William C. Lampe) loves Letty no matter what and proposes marriage. But Letty and her father move to a remote cottage where she earns a living through her sewing. When scarlet fever breaks out, Letty gets her reputation back by nursing a lot of sick children. Hoggard's bank fails, and he is protected from an angry mob by Letty's forgiving father. The father gets his ministry back, and Letty finally accepts the farmer's proposal for the requisite happy ending.
