Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
David Lai Tai-wai spins this gritty, ultra-violent crime saga about two-bit gangster Kwong (Andy Lau Tak-wah) who flees his native Taiwan for Hong Kong after killing a fellow triad in a fight over a girl. His boss instructs him to stay with single mother Sue. Later Kwong meets Wah (Kelvin Wong Siu), a triad from a rival gang hailing from Guangzhou who sells fake Rolexes from a briefcase. When, the cops try to blackmail Kwong into being an informant, he along with Sue -- whom he inevitably has fallen in love with -- and her son first make a foray into mainland China before ultimately heading to Macau after the cops, who have lost patience with Kwong and put out a warrant for his arrest. Once in Macau, he and Wah prepare for a bloody confrontation with the police.
