Dreams of success haunt a Greek woman who yearns to escape her bleak surroundings and pursue success as a singer in the city in this dark drama from award-winning director Panos Karkanevatos. Stifled by her bleak surroundings and yearning to make a name for herself as a singer in the big city, sexy young Loula embarks on a heated love affair with Kosmos -- a stranger who she wrongfully assumes will be her ticket out of the industrial wasteland she calls home. When Loula discovers that Kosmos is just another lost soul looking to make it big, she callously rejects her shattered lover and sets her sights on the bright lights of the city. It doesn't take long for Kosmos to track his former lover down in the city, though, and when he chooses to express his undying devotion in the most deadly way imaginable, Loula's dreams of success turn into a nightmarish struggle for survival.
