No longer able to deny their feelings for one another, Max (Jason Behr) and Liz (Shiri Appleby) share another kiss, and continue to do so until a strange phenomenon brings their behavior to a temporary halt -- Liz can see visions of space each time their lips meet, and neither can explain exactly why. Eventually, they come to believe that the visions are clues into Max's past, and the couple decides that consummating their relationship may be the only way to solve the puzzle in its entirety. Before they can go through with it, however, they come across a strange, glowing orb. Meanwhile, Maria (Majandra Delfino) fibs to Michael (Brendan Fehr) that she has been having similar visions in hopes of bringing them closer together, while Isabel (Katherine Heigl) and Alex (Colin Hanks) share their first kiss.
