Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This routine comedy-drama starred Raymond McKee, whose big claim to fame was his starring role in Down to the Sea in Ships (which would be forgotten today if it hadn't given Clara Bow her first decent part). McKee is Patrick O'Brien, who returns home from World War I to find that his job is not waiting for him. Although he lies to his mother (Gertrude Claire) and says he is secretary to the wealthy Van Tassler, he really gets work in a garage. His lowly position, however, doesn't stop Van Tassler's daughter, Mary (Marjorie Meadows), from falling in love with him. Even opposition from her aunt and her snobbish fiancé, Arthur Waddington Watts (Dick Gordon), doesn't stop the couple from being together. O'Brien finally makes good when he invents a device that separates water from gasoline, and his pal Buddy (Billy Bletcher) helps him market it. With his newfound riches, O'Brien makes a suitable mate for Mary.
