Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Mary Bird (Mary MacLaren) marries a young physician, Dr. Shaw (Edward Peil), and they settle down in a little cottage on the New England seashore. After a few years and a couple of kids, Mary doesn't have time for her husband anymore, so when Pauline Dallas (Bonnie Hill) comes visiting from Boston, the good doctor is ripe for an affair. Since Pauline is stylish, intelligent, and unencumbered by home and hearth, she is tempting indeed, compared to the little brown wren that Mrs. Shaw has become. But the flirtation between her husband and Pauline is too much for Mary to take, and she becomes ill and dashes out into the stormy night. This wakes up Shaw fast, and he rushes out in the rain to find her. All thoughts of Miss Dallas are forgotten as husband and wife are reunited.
