Documentary filmmaker Saskia Heyden spends a year with famed French drag king Océan LeRoy in an attempt to distinguish the character on the stage from the smart businesswoman underneath the convincing the make-up. Told against the backdrop of a formerly divided Berlin, Heydon's portrait of LeRoy presents the life journey of an entertainer whose art extends past traditional gender categories despite the fact that the person underneath the make-up us well aware how to function within them.
