Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Western stunt actor Bob Custer shows off his horsemanship in this routine oater. Shortly after being appointed sheriff, Bill Pendleton (Custer) is forced to hold an auction of the effects of Ruth Howells (Peggy Udell). J.S. Dokes (Frank Bromley) has called in his notes because Ruth refuses to marry his son, Gus (Newton Barber). Pendleton, however, loves Ruth -- he has already saved the life of her six-year-old cousin -- and he is determined to help her out. For his own underhanded gain, Dokes has set up a Pony Express Race with a prize of 5,000 dollars. Pendleton enters the race and, in spite of all the efforts of Dokes' men to make him fail, he wins the cross-desert affair. Gus then abducts Ruth and takes her to a mountain cabin. Pendleton manages to track him down and rescues the girl.
