Also-ran cowboy Buffalo Bill, Jr. (later known as Jay Wilsey) starred in this average silent oater directed by the prolific Richard Thorpe. Buffalo played Billy Gibson, who is banished to the wilderness after playing a nasty practical joke on his rancher father (Al Hart). During his exile, Billy meets and falls in love with pretty Patricia Farris (Olive Hasbrouck), who sadly rejects him when he tries to steal a kiss. Returning to his father's ranch, he finds the old man charged with illegal land registration. Quickly determining that his father has been framed by the nasty Miller (Charles "Slim" Whitaker), Billy takes the law into his own hands. With the help of Deefy (Harry Todd), a ramshackle character who pretends to be deaf, Billy brings the swindlers to justice, an act that finally wins him his father's gratitude and Patricia's love. Future Academy Award winning actor Walter Brennan played a minor supporting role in this film.
