Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Joe Ma Wai-ho makes his directorial debut with this light gangster drama about down and out triad Wong Kwong (Tommy Wong Kwong-leung). Following an ugly gangland street fight, Wong Kwong gets carted off into jail where he meets wealthy sleazeball Peter Chow (James Wong Jim) and the two quickly become friends. When both get out of stir, Chow quickly realizes just how impoverished the tough-talking mobster really is. He offers Wong a job as debt collector and later he gives him a line of credit, allowing Wong to open that massage parlor he's always dreamed of. Soon the Wong finds himself up to his ears in money. Yet when he learns of hope Chow manages to earn his millions, Wong is thrown into a moral quandary. This film received a Category III rating based largely on harsh language, which doesn't readily translate into English.
