Claire (Cornelia Frobess) and her sweetheart Wolf (Christian Wolf) leave Berlin for a few days of romance at a provincial hotel in this romantic comedy. The two register as man and wife in an effort to determine their compatibility. Taken from the 1935 novelette by Kurt Tucholsky, the story takes place in the days before World War I. The photography and the settings are excellent in this 42nd film from celebrated director Kurt Hoffmann.
