A man who has been emotionally scarred by the violence of war discovers fate won't leave him alone in this drama. Obi (Gideon Okeke) is a young man from Nigeria who is sent to Sierra Leone as part of a peacekeeping force. Despite the presence of Obi and his comrades, Freetown is a violent place with danger around every corner, though his fortunes take a turn for the better when he meets a woman named Blessing. Obi and Blessing fall in love and make plans to marry, but he's shattered when she's attacked and killed by a band of child soldiers. After returning home to Lagos, Obi wants to forget what he's seen and starts a business with his friend Ola. But one evening, while out taking a walk, Obi rescues Honey, a prostitute who has been thrown from a bridge by an angry customer.
