When Liang picks up a magic paintbrush, his subjects become real in this Reading Rainbow episode's story about a child who has a powerful desire to paint. Host LeVar Burton takes a look at Chinese-American life with a visit to Chinatown to examine a cross-section of the culture. Young viewers get a glimpse of the creations of a chef and a calligrapher.Burton also gets a lesson in the use of computer graphics to produce artwork and ends up in a Chinese celebration.
