Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
A Yugoslavian couple who have lived in Munich for 16 years want their son to go back to Yugoslavia as soon as possible before he loses his cultural identity. The son, in turn, does not want to leave Germany -- he was educated in Munich, grew up there, speaks German as his first language, and has fallen in love with a young German woman (and long-time friend). This cultural and generation gap widens when the mother returns to Yugoslavia and finds a good job for her son. Meanwhile, the romance with his female companion is getting stronger -- and he keeps putting off a final confrontation with his parents.
