In this teen drama from Hong Kong, Joe is a student at a prestigious church school and is friends with a ne'er-do-well named Ben and a seriously scholarly lad named Man-kit. Joe himself is not scholarly and isn't particularly disobedient, since he comes from a happy family. When Ben is kicked out of school for cheating on an exam, Gigi, a girl on the school's waiting list, begins attending classes and sits in his spot. Soon, Joe and Gigi are making eyes at each other, and a first romance begins to blossom. Meanwhile, Man-kit shows that he takes his good grades much too seriously -- a reprimand from a teacher leads him to attempt suicide.
