Synopsis by Mark Deming

A lawyer must decide if his greatest loyalty is to his family or to justice in this drama. Jake DeMitro (Seamus McNally) is an attorney whose life and career are falling apart; while he was a star student at a well-respected law school and has a important position as a prosecutor, he's developed an obsessive-compulsive disorder and is constantly butting heads with Brian O'Leary, his frequent opponent in court. His relationship with his girlfriend Kelly Francini (Rebecca Budig) is also beginning to fray. With DeMitro already walking on an emotional tightrope, he discovers his father, a doctor, is being investigated for his possible involvement in a drug ring, and detectives are hoping to link the drug charges to the recent murder of DeMitro's sister. Based on a novel by Kenneth Del Vecchio, Pride and Loyalty features a supporting cast of actors best known for their work on daytime dramas, including Mark Consuelos, John Bolger, and Marj Dusay.
