Synopsis by Bhob Stewart

Bulgarian director Lyudmil Todorov adapted seven of his own short stories to create the contemporary comedy seen in this anthology film, a Bulgarian-French-Swiss co-production. A night wanderer through the streets of Sofia is Emilia (Mariana Kroumova), a woman who serves as a link to bring together individually titled tales: In "Five Million," two of Emilia's friends inherit a porn cinema; the grumpy party-pooper of "Berdaierv" eventually decides fun is better, and he dances his cares away; the third story details "The End of a Romance" between a Bulgarian man and his French lover; and Emilia has a few choice words for her drunken husband and his pal in "Conditional Mood." The epilogue once again follows Emilia as she wanders the Sofia streets. Shown at the 1997 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
