Synopsis by Hal Erickson
In the tradition of the modern Indian cinema, Prem Pratigyaa runs close to three hours. The domestic audience for which it was aimed never complained, but American viewers might be desirous of a "cut to the chase" after an hour or so. Mithun Chakroboty stars as an unregenerate alcoholic. With no real reason to live, he opts for slow death via liquor. His life completely turns around after he falls in love with Madhuri Dixit.
