This French comedy takes comic monologues and skits, based on the real-life experiences of the comedy team of Guy Bedos and Sophie Daumier, and transforms them into dramatic episodes. Bedos and Daumier are well known in France, having appeared onstage in variety/vaudeville shows and in legitimate plays. In one sequence, Sophie has a fling with an Italian ladies' man, and spends an amusingly uncomfortable time in a home for unwed mothers as she waits to give birth to his child. Much of the humor comes in the zinging accuracy of their observations about their fellow men.
