Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A politically-ambitious former first lady fights to stay on top of her game in this six-episode mini-series starring Sigourney Weaver. Former first lady Elaine Barrish Hammond (Weaver) is used to navigating the treacherous world of contemporary politics. Now, as Secretary of State, the demands of being a wife and a mother are more difficult than ever before - especially with a probing DC journalist (Carla Gugina) constantly breathing down her neck. But Hammond has a unique way of enduring hardship, only to bounce back stronger than ever before - both in her personal life and her professional life - and she isn't about to let a muckraking journalist with an agenda derail her promising career in politics. Ellen Burstyn, Ciaran Hinds, and Dylan Baker co-star.
