Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The original Greek title of Policeman of the 16th Precinct is too long and too difficult to spell for us, so we'll just let it pass. This lower-level comedy concerns a bunch of petty crooks who like to sit around and chew the fat. The cops occasionally bust up the group, but with no charges against them, the crooks escape to yak away for another day. The principal topic of conversation is money, which seems to have been in short supply while the film was being made. For a non-Greek audience, Policeman of the 16th Precinct is an excellent cure for insomnia.
