One of the most popular anime franchises ever returns with this animated feature, the seventh Pokémon feature to be released in North America. A strange object from outer space falls to Earth, and with it comes a powerful new Pokémon named Deoxys. The creature is discovered by Professor Lund and his son Tory, who are stunned when Deoxys nearly bests one of the champion Pokémon, Rayquaza, in a fight. The battle makes a powerful impression on Tory, who no longer wants to work with the strange animals. Four years later, Ash and Pikachu travel to the futuristic city of Larousse, where they meet Tory and his dad. Ash struggles to help Tory with his fears, but he soon finds out Tory's anxieties are well founded when the mighty Deoxys reappears to take on all comers.
