Synopsis by Mark Deming

Two lonely people struggle to find a meaningful relationship in this independent drama from filmmaker Yen Tan. Gabe (Bill Heck) was married to Shannon (Amy Seimetz) and they have a six-year-old daughter, but when he had an affair with another man, their relationship turned sour, and while they still live together, neither has any illusions about reconciliation. Meanwhile, in the same small Texas town, Ernesto (Marcus DeAnda) has been sharing his flat with Luis (Alfredo Maduro), but while Luis has made it clear he and Ernesto are no longer a couple and he wants to move to a more exciting city, he hasn't packed up his belongings yet. Gabe and Ernesto both want the same things in a partner and are eager to move on from their failing partnerships, but while they live in the same city, they've never met. Pit Stop was an official selection at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
