Death comes to a peaceful small town when an experimental drug test at a dilapidated insane asylum transforms the inmates into homicidal psychopaths who won't stop the slaughter until they've gotten a bullet in the brain. In the dark recesses of a prison-like insane asylum, the apocalypse has just gotten under way. A secret drug testing has gone horribly awry, and now the patients are being brutally butchered. Those who have managed to survive the initial wave of violence have developed a serious taste for killing. When one of the patients, a sadistic and deformed maniac, escapes from the hospital intending to claim as many lives as possible, the unsuspecting citizens of a nearby town remain completely clueless to the horror that's headed right their way.
