Synopsis by Mark Deming

More than any of their contemporaries in the early '60s folk boom, Peter, Paul & Mary sought (on their own terms) to bring socially responsible music to as many different audiences as possible, and, in 1969, shortly before the group broke up for several years, they released the album Peter, Paul & Mommy, in which they performed a variety of folk songs from contemporary songwriters created with children in mind. In 1993, the reunited Peter, Paul & Mary revisited this concept with Peter, Paul & Mommy Too, a live album and video in which the trio performed a baker's dozen tunes, both old and new, with special appeal for younger listeners. Selections include "Puff (The Magic Dragon)," "I Know an Old Lady (Who Swallowed a Fly)," "Pastures of Plenty," and "Garden Song."
