This is a routine Indian drama about the sad effects of cowardice on a small village. The villagers live in fear of a local thug who lords it over everyone. The brutal man is married and a father, yet he has forced some of the village women to comply with his sexual demands. Let out of prison after serving time for a rape conviction, he finds the man who helped put him in jail and viciously beats him. Next he sets his sights on bedding down two sisters, and no one does anything to stop him. This time, however, he underestimates the brother in the family who is overcome by rage and violently retaliates. What happens next is typical of the villagers as a whole.
