Synopsis by Hal Erickson

"Persuasive" Peggy Paton (Peggy Hyland) marries wealthy farmer Ed Towbridge (William B. Davidson), who turns out to be a stubborn young mule. Riding roughshod over his wife's feelings, Ed insists that they spend their honeymoon at the State Fair, even though she wants to go to Niagara Falls. Ultimately she walks out on him and heads for the Falls alone. Ed chases after her, and after several reels he finally catches her. Persuasive Peggy was the sort of film that Constance Talmadge would later make her own personal province. It is perhaps significant that this low-pressure feminist manifesto was written by a woman, Maravene Thompson.
