Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this documentary, narrated by John DiStefano, Daniel Eisenberg attempts to draw parallels between two historical turning points in post-World War Two Germany and post-Cold War Germany. Archival film clips of the earlier period are joined with original footage and clips from feature movies which illustrate Eisenberg's theses, as do musical quotes from modern operatic compositions. One of the highlights of the film is its airing of rarely seen footage from the post-World War Two era.
