Nasty gossip columnist Danny Shine (John Lasell) has been murdered, and Greg Stanley (Douglas Henderson) is charged with the crime. The only person who can provide an alibi for Stanley is Alex Tanner (Gary Collins)--but Tanner insists that he must remain silent, or else his kidnapped baby will be killed. Agreeing to defend Stanley in court, Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) unearths a shocking secret concerning Tanner's neurotic wife Patricia (Anne Whitfield).
