Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Love blooms but does not prosper in this melodrama. The orphan girl Pavlinka (Brigita Hausnerova) lives with her grandmother, the town midwife. Despite her grandmother's disapproval, she falls in love with a young man who works in the town's textile factory. During one of the occasions on which she has sneaked away in order to meet him, a violent strike erupts, and she is accidentally killed.
