Synopsis by Mark Deming

After splitting up his seminal group the Jam at the height of its popularity in 1982 and moving in new, unexpected directions with his next band, the Style Council, Paul Weller belatedly embarked on a solo career in the early '90s with a series of intelligent and impassioned albums, re-establishing himself as one of the boldest and most powerful voices in British rock. In the fall of 2002, Weller set out on a tour of the U.K. in support of his album Illuminations, and a camera crew was on hand to capture his October 16 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, on videotape. Paul Weller: Live at Braehead finds the star in enthusiastic form as he plays a two-hour set culled from the cream of his solo career, as well as a few classic Jam tunes. Songs include "The Changing Man," "Going Places," "A Bullet for Everyone," "Into Tomorrow," "It's Written in the Stars," "Wild Wood," "Sunflower," "Pretty Green," "In the Crowd," and many more.
