June Caprice's character behaves a little too capriciously in this comedy-drama. John Primmel (John Smiley) lives in the West with his daughter, Patsy (Caprice), but sends her to stay with a friend in New York because she's running wild and needs an education. The friend, however, has died, and his son Dick Hewitt (Harry Hilliard) is the one who receives Primmel's letter. Since Patsy is on her way, there's little he can do but welcome her into his bachelor apartments and try to make her at home. Dick runs pretty wild himself and one night, in a drunken stupor, he marries the scheming Helen Arnold (Edna Munsey), which creates quite a dilemma since Dick and Patsy are falling in love. Dick's sister Alice (Ethyle Cooke) urges him to marry Patsy, not realizing that he's gotten himself entangled with another woman. Patsy tries to force the matter by punching a hole in the gas tank of Dick's auto, which causes them to stay out most of the night. Alice insists that the pair must get married now, and Helen tries to blackmail Dick.
